YACHT RACING TROPHY - 19th c. Silver Plated Wine Barrel Form Yacht Racing Trophy from the Dalkey Regatta (Dublin, Ireland), July 22, 1874, presented to the Cutter yacht, Glide; engine turned decorated barrel on stand with Bacchus figure lid and crank with ratchet that lifts the back end of the barrel, legs have ball castors, engraved 'Glide 15' above spiggot and 'Dalkey Regatta, July 22, 1874' on stand, no maker's marks, 17" high, 11 3/4" x 7 1/2". Small dent near back end of barrel, several tiny dents to legs and stand, missing cork on lid.
