About The Artist:

Chinese law demanded that a red wax seal be placed on the scroll to deem it eligible for export, and therefore unimportant to the cultural history of the Chinese people. These seals were placed on antique relics and paintings when China opened up to the Western World in the late 1970s and 1980s.

Thankas were painted by the Monks of Buddhist temples and required months to complete.
