Item Description:

A Roman terracotta tile likely of Legio IIII Flavia, c. 1st - 4th Century AD, the right side of the narrow rectangular stamp is preserved with what appears to read IIIIFL, with additional letters and/or symbols which are not legible. 6 ¾ x 8 in (17.1 x 20.3 cm). Also included is another brick or tile, 5 x 3 ½ x 2 3/8 in (12.7 x 8.9 x 6 cm). Earthen deposits. Ex Austrian private collection; Ex Clark collection, Santa Barbara.
