Condition:

The colours of the original are similar to the catalogue illustration, but the greens of the foliage in the tree are richer and deeper in tone in the original. There is minor rubbing and staining along the extreme edges of the canvas which is not visible in the catalogue illustration. A pinhole to the canvas towards the upper left at the outermost edge of the tree foliage has been patched from the reverse and has an associated area of retouching at the front. A few further spots of retouching are visible under UV light, along the lower edge of the canvas around the root of the tree. Overall good condition.
