RARE CONNECTICUT MILITIA ORDERLY BOOK - 7th Company, 6th Regiment, 1835-1846, headquartered in Middletown, in the original half leather binding with marbled boards, 8" x 12 3/4", 142 unnumbered pages consisting of official records of regimental, brigade or company orders, an orderly book of muster rolls which provide alphabetical rosters of officers and enlisted men of the company, many with their rank along with other regimental records which include fines, medical payments, roll of inspections with those exempt and those gone without exemptions, fines, musket issues, printed and manuscript orders. Subsequent years written in over a dozen hands signed by Captains, Lieutenants and in at least one case a Brigadier General, George C. Owen who became a postmaster in CT. Some tipped in and loose documents. Very good condition. A significant historical document. More detailed description of contents available.
