ROOSEVELT PRIVATE TLS WRITTEN FIRST WEEK AS PRESIDENT! - Note marked Private in FDR's hand, on White House stationary, dated March 9, 1933 (his first Inauguration was March 4, 1933), to Judge Frederic Kernochan at 32 Franklin Street in New York, thanking him for the two notes, saying that Curry was backing away from the two bills he had sent up and wishing they were off on the Nourmahal (his yacht) again. Already tired of the office! In a two window mat with a period Pach Bros portrait photo. In gold molded frame, OS: 15" x 19". Fine condition.
