About The Artist:

The province of Kerman has been renowned for rug weaving since antiquity. Before the 20th century the rugs produced in Kerman had less foreign influence than rugs woven in cities like Tabriz or Meshed due to its relatively remote geography. But by the second quarter of the 20th century, Kerman rugs began to take on a more European feel and by the mid 20th century, Kermans became known for having a French style.
