About The Artist:

Otto Hofner (1879-1946) was an Austrian sculptor who worked primarily in bronze. Initially, Hofner trained as a goldsmith and engraver, then attended the Vienna Arts and Crafts School (at Stephen Schwartz, 1889). During his stay at the Vienna Arts and Crafts School, Hofner would go on study trips to Paris, Holland, Belgium and London. From 1909, Hofner was a member of the K├╝nstlerhaus- a meeting place for young artists and academics (in Vienna).
