Provenance:

Gifted to the current owner from the late Chuck Rosenak, who wrote several books on American Folk Art, including "Navajo Folk Art" (2008), and "The People Speak: Navajo Folk Art (1994). Chuck Rosenak was the best man in the current owner's parents' 1952 wedding. Probably purchased in the Santa Fe, New Mexico area.
