MECHANICAL BANK - Painted Cast Iron "William Tell" Mechanical Bank by J & E Stevens, Cromwell, CT, cast on base 'Patented June 23, 1896', a coin placed on the barrel of the cocked rifle is shot into the apple on the boy's head and castle opening when Tell's rear foot is pressed, original painted surface, 6 1/2" high, 10 1/4" x 3 5/8", paint losses.
