Isa Genzken (German, b. 1948), "Untitled", 2009, digital print in colors, signed and dated, ed. 30

Product Description:

Signed and numbered on reverse, edition 10 of 30, Hahnemule matte fine art, smooth, photo rag bright white 310 gsm, bespoke museum quality standards for framing and conservation by John Jones, Ltd. of London, white mat with .25 in. bevel, ultra violet light protection glass, solid brushed aluminum frame with seamless corners.

Isa Genzken produced the edition of 30 for Whitechapel Gallery on the occasion of her retrospective "Isa Genzken, Open Sesame!", the inaugural exhibition marking Whitechapel Gallery's re-opening after an extensive building expansion project. The image suggests a mock up of a magazine cover and references many of the elements used in Genzken's 30 year career - throwaway objects, mannequins, material debris, assemblage, painting, photography and her distinctive irreverent approach to sculpture and materiality. It features the image of her sculpture "Rose II" installed on the plaza at Art Basel, Switzerland in 2008.
