About The Artist:

This painting by the artist Hu Chi-Chung (胡奇中 Hu QiZhong) is a wonderful example of the artist’s style, a blend of figurative and abstract imagery. The artist was born in Zhejiang province, China. After the Chinese victory over Japan and during the beginning years of the Communist shift, the artist and his family relocated to Taiwan. In 1971, they immigrated to the United States, settling on the West Coast in Carmel, California. Due to illness, Hu Chi-Chung gradually stopped painting in the late 1990s. The artist is still represented by Sabine Vazieux Gallery in Paris, France, and his work continues to be popular with collectors in Taiwan, the United States, and Europe.
