HIROSHIGE I ANDO (1797-1858, Utagawa) - "Spring Rain at Tsuchiyama" (`Tsuchiyama de haru no ame'), woodblock print, oban yoko-e, #50 from The Fifty-Three Stations of the Tokaido. The set published 1833-34 by Takenouchi Magohachi and Tsuruya Kiemon, depicting a daimyo’s procession crossing a stream in heavy rain. In pewter box frame, matted and glazed, OS: 16" x 22", SS: 8 1/4" x 13 1/4". Toned. Not examined out of frame.
