Holden of Providence, Rhode Island, Surgeon in the Medical Corps, including: Pair of Mexican War to Early Civil War Officer's Dress Epaulets, Captain of Medical Corps, in the original japanned tin box with red velvet lining; PLUS Tin Box marked "Shannon, Miller & Crane", containing Corps of Engineers, Captain Civil War Epaulets by that manufacturer; PLUS Lt. Col. Dress Epaulets; PLUS US Army M1860 Cavalry Saber, Emerson & Silver, Trenton NJ; PLUS US Army M1840 NCO Dress Sword by Ames of Chicopee, Mass.; PLUS Gilt Dress Buckle with silver eagle, the swords have light corrosion, all other items are in fine condition. Includes an envelope addressed to the doctor in Corpus Christie, Texas.
