Grateful Dead Avalon Ballroom 'Skeleton and Roses' Concert Poster First Printing FD-26 (Family Dog, 1966). First printing, identified by a rectangular dark blue area to the left of the skull. Designed by Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley. The poster advertises a series of shows in September, 1966 at the Avalon Ballroom, San Francisco. Signed The Bindweed Press in plate lower right corner. Measures 14.125 in. x 19.875 in. Fair to good condition with creases, pinholes at every corner and two strips of tape verso. An original poster of the period and not a reprint, bootleg or facsimile unless stated otherwise. Unframed, loose and not glued or mounted. If lot is absent of a condition report a condition report may be requested via email. Condition report is provided as an opinion only and is no guarantee as grading can be subjective. Buyer must view photographs or scans to assist in determining condition and ask further questions if so desired. Provenance: Montana collection.
