Product Description:

The sepiolite carved with a cavalier style figure playing a pipe or flute, with fitted case

Condition:

Good, aside from a small chip in the end of the flute the cavalier is playing and a tiny leaf chip at the bottom back of the pipe. Please contact cataloging@lofty.com for specific condition questions and to request a full condition report.

Provenance:

Acquired in 1940 from Rt Rev Msgr. Thomas Bona, Chicago, brother of Most Rev. Bishop Stan. V. Bona, Diocese of Green Bay by Rev. Joseph A. Tomczyk of Manitowoc, Wisconsin. It was later given to Sr. Mary Claude of the Felician Order who at the time was administrator of St. Mary's Home For The Aged in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.
