19th c, France, thickly gilded cast bronze, depicting a winged putti seated on a curule stool, reading from a scroll, raised on a rectangular base mounted with an enameled clock face ringed by a daisy patterned bezel, the whole on four pad feet, clock face and mechanism unsigned, 16"h x 7"l x 5"w
