EUGENE SINTZINICH (Germany/NY, 1792-1852) - View of an Upstate New York Mill Town, dated 1847, oil on mahogany panel, signed lower right, possibly of Canajoharie, on the Mohawk River, in mahogany frame with gold liner, OS: 13" x 24", SS: 10 3/4" x 21 3/4". Good condition. Sintzinich lived and taught in Rochester, NY, was hired to record local scenes, this possibly for the mill owner, ornate mansion on the slope above is probably his.
