Sight: Height 28 in. x Width 44 in.

Frame: Height 34 3/4 in. x Width 50 3/4 in.

Condition:

About The Artist:

This work was created by Dong Kingman as part of a series for the Hollywood motion picture "55 Days at Peking", starring Charlton Heston. These works were done on location in Spain in 1963 and were shown in a special exhibition at Wildenstein Gallery, New York, in 1963.

Dong Kingman created other work for Hollywood films including "Flower Drum Song" (1961) and "The Sand Pebbles" (1966). The bulk of the watercolors for "55 Days at Peking" were donated by Kingman's son to the Motion Picture Academy of Arts and Science.
