About The Artist:

Born in Belgium on October 14, 1884 as Carl Frederik Meyer-Lesaar, the artist studied at the Royal Academy of Antwerp and the Royal Academy of Dusseldorf. After exhibiting his work in Brussels and Antwerp in 1907 and 1908, the artist traveled to North America and arrived in Montreal, Canada in 1912. In 1914, he immigrated to the U.S. and lived in both Chicago and San Francisco.

Later, the artist changed his name to Charles (Myr) Lesaar. His work has been exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago and at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
