CAST IRON SEMI-MECHANICAL LIGHTHOUSE BANK - America, c. 1890, a coin of any size up to a quarter can be deposited into the house, which has plug; the tower takes nickels and will only open when the amount of five dollars is deposited, having a spring loaded dome and pull-out release trap at bottom, 10 1/2" x 6" x 6". Very good condition, about 90% paint, collector's number painted on underside. Purchased at the March 13, 1991 Christie's sale of The Seaman's Bank for Savings collection.
