ANTONIO JACOBSEN (NY/NJ, 1850-1921) - Marine portrait of Steam Sail Ship "Curacao" of the Red D Line, oil on canvas, signed lower right 'A. Jacobsen, 1896', a white hulled steam sail ship, in the original period Victorian frame, SS: 22" x 36", OS: 29" x 43". Cleaned and varnished, minor old repairs in left upper sky near rear sail, restoration done circa 1972. This painting was recently discovered in an attic in Sargentville, ME where it has been stored since 1972.
