Item Description:

ANTIQUE MICROSCOPE - Society of the Arts Pattern Microscope, made popular as an award in 1855, copied by many makers, this is unmarked, circa 1880, cast iron claw foot base in silver paint, the remainder is nickel plated. Rack and pinnion focus, with a single eyepiece and objective lens that yield approximately 100x magnification. 15" tall. Good condition, some paint loss and rust to cast iron base, replaced mirror.
