Item Description:

An Anatolian/Caspian cone-shaped serpentine stamp seal, c.1200 - 1000 BC, the side of the seal depicting a frieze of animals within a roped border, the base with cruciform designs around a central rosette. The top of the handle with large horizontal drill for suspension. L: 24 mm. A scarcer type and quite interesting! Ex California Museum of Ancient Art de-accession.
