Several other folios from this series have been published in recent years. Each depicts a woman of a different caste (jat) as an archetypal heroind (nayika) in the presence of Krishna. This colourful series is renowned for its large format, attractive, colourful palette and for the white architecture that is used to subdivide the scenes. The regional attribution for this series has, however, caused considerable disagreement amongst scholars. Two other pages from this series from the Jane Greenough Green collection are published in Pratapaditya Pal, Pleasure Gardens of the Mind, Los Angeles, 1993, pp. 116-119, and are there attributed to Marwar. Previously other pages have been variously attributed to Malpura, Malwa and Raghogarh.

Narmada Prasad Upadhyaya, who has recently translated several of the inscriptions on other pages from this series, has argued convincingly that the correct attribution for the series is instead Bundhelkhand. His monograph suggests that this series was painted by a single artist from Bundelkhand, with Bundelkhandi the dialect of the couplets inscribed on the reverse of some, if not all folios. Each painting employs the same format of three horizontal registers. The upper register always features Radha and Krishna in a variety of postures. The middle register depicts a female member of one of the castes of India, in a scene relating to caste characteristics. The lower register always features a building with an onion-domed roof standing on pink rocks flanked on either side by similar rocky outcrops.
