About The Artist:

"Le Pater" is Mucha's illustrated interpretation of The Lord’s Prayer. His designs in this work include many Masonic symbols. The work is meant to be a message to future generations about the progress of mankind.

Alphonse Maria Mucha (1860-1899) was a struggling Czech artist living in Paris, France until 1895, when his poster “Gizmonda” (1894), designed for the iconic French actress Sarah Bernhardt, rocketed him to immediate fame and success. His “Style Mucha” had a significant impact on the French Art Nouveau movement.
