Literature:

The Segre Iron Works in Connecticut was CalderÕs metal fabricator. With CalderÕs authorization, approximately 12 pieces were made and presented as awards for a New York Art Dealers Association. It became known as the ÒDoveÓ because of its similarity to that bird about to take flight.
