There is probably no more desirable vintage watch model today than vintage Rolex Daytonas featuring the exotic or "Paul Newman" dials. These watches earned their nickname from the fact that Paul Newman wore one of these Daytona with the exotic dials featuring square markers in the subsidiary registers for many years. Paul's watch sold for over $17 million last October in New York. The present watch has a serial number not too far from his personal watch and is the same reference with the same white dial variation. It was consigned by a gentleman who purchased it from the son of the original owner. It was exceptionally preserved and is fresh to the market, a rare opportunity to purchase a stunning example of a "Paul Newman" Daytona just like Paul himself wore.
