Item Description:

A pair of Pre-Columbian ceramic vessels. Lot includes an El Bosque type footed dish, Costa Rica, c. 1st - 5th Century AD, the deep bowl with handle in the form of two feet, 4 ½ x 3 ¾ in (11.4 x 9.5 cm). The second is a Post-Classic Mexican bowl, c. AD 900 - 1400, with orange slipped surfaces and remnants of a fade geometric black resist motif, 3 ¾ x 5 ¼ in (8.3 x 13.3 cm). Ex Petersen-Neubauer family collection, Los Angeles.
