'I like most of his flower paintings very much. Their colours are lovely, and the self acquired technique of impasto gives them a texture which in some cases is admirable... It is charged with an amount of pictorial imagination and fantasy which turns a simple bunch of flowers into a spectacle. His colours are in most pictures brilliant.' (Rudy Von Leyden, 'Pictorial Fantasy of Mr. K.H.Ara: One Man Exhibition', The Times of India , 26 November, 1946, p. 5)
