Item Description:

A Chupicuaro rounded bottomed vessel, Mexico, c. 200 BC - AD 200, hemispherical with nearly a flat top with short narrow spout off-set to one side. An interesting vessel, the surfaces with burnished black-brown slip, the top of the vessel with low circular protrusions. 4 ¼ x 4 x 3 ¼ in (10.7 x 10.2 x 8.3 cm). Repaired from fragments. Ex Petersen-Neubauer family collection, Los Angeles.
