A Chinese Famille-Rose Coral-Red Ground Dish, with "CaiXiuTangZhi" Mark

Item Description:

The dish has a slightly spreading foot to flared rims, the exterior painted in bright enamels with three pink peony blossoms on a yellow ground framed with green scrolling foliage, flanked with blue peony blossoms, all on a coral-red ground; the interior decorated with a band of "Ruyi" pattern encircling to the mouth rim, with five bats surround a stylized "shou" character in the center, with coral-red color against white ground; bottom with a hall mark reading 'CaiXiuTang Zhi' in underglaze blue. Size: 6.3" dia. Provenance: Property of Kobijutsu KenShuDo, Japanese Osaka Estate Antique Company.
