(4) FRAMED BATH, MAINE SAMPLERS - All early 19th c., wool on linen, from the Gage family, with family history on back, including: Lois Hovey Gage (1817-1876), done at age 8, alphabet and four line sentiment, 13" x 11 1/2"; PLUS Francis Angier Gage (nee Stockbridge), (1799-1882), done at age 8, alphabet and "Christ is the Rose which I have Chose", 16 1/2" x 9"; PLUS Mary Sargent Gage (1830-1909), alphabet and "God is Love, Jesus Wept", 5 1/2" square; PLUS Phebe Emerson, aged 11, 7 1/2" x 5 3/4". All in good condition.
