20TH MAINE CIVIL WAR MEMORABILIA - Tintype Photo and GAR Hat Badge of William Pennell, Co. K, 20th Maine Volunteer Infantry, under Joshua Chamberlain. Includes Chamberlain's post-war calling card with his New York City address of 101 75th St. The back of the tintype, when removed from leather case, has pencil inscribed paper tag "Mrs. Pennell, 28 College St, Brunswick, Me." Descended in the family. Pennell was present at Fredericksburg, Gettysburg, Petersburg and the surrender of Lee at Appomatox Courthouse.
