Yvonne Jacquette

Yvonne Jacquette (b. 1934) is a contemporary American painter and printmaker known for her aerial landscapes and Pointillist-like technique. Born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, she began flying commercial airlines to sketch and study landscapes and cloud formations.  She often depicts night views of New York City, and her landscapes are characterized by their rich color and extensive detail.  She regularly exhibits with DC Moore Gallery in New York, and her work is also featured in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C., the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York, and numerous other public collections.
