Hagenbeck-Wallace / Giant Trains. .
Benjamin Wallace of Peru, Indiana, founded the Great Wallace Shows in 1884, creating a thriving enterprise which quickly captivated America. In 1906, he went on to purchase the Carl Hagenbeck Circus, merging it with his own and dubbing it the Hagenbeck-Wallace Circus. It operated under various ownerships through 1938, being off the road only in 1936, and was for a significant time the second-largest circus in the United States.
