The master of French automobile posters turns to the two-wheeled joys of hitting the open road in this humorously pointed–if not precisely subtle–poster for Dollar motorcycles, an historic French cycle produced between 1925 and 1939. By 1915, the American-manufactured Indian had become the world’s biggest motorcycle brand-name. But, as Ham makes it clear, this “Big Chief” prefers the ride he gets atop a Dollar. Who knew? Indian itself would stop production in 1955.
