Item Description:

A Coptic carved bone doll, Roman Egypt, c. 5th - 7th Century AD, flat-backed, front with concentric diamond-shaped lozenges, perhaps stylized limbs, the eyes are dots within circles and low headdress. H: 2 3/4 in (6.9 cm). Light deposits. Also includes are a pair of polished bone beads with stylized faces on either side, age indeterminate. L: 2.5 cm. Ex New Jersey private collection.
