Item Description:

GEORGIAN ENGLISH ENGRAVED-DECORATED STERLING SILVER FLATWARE, LOT OF 21, comprising a serving fork by George Burrows I of London with 1798 date mark, a tablespoon featuring repousse and chased accents with "W[E, R, or B]" maker's mark and 1824 date mark, a pair of sugar tongs likely by Thomas Watson of Newcastle with worn date mark, a set of four spoons by Charles Hougham of London with 1785 date mark, and a group of 12 spoons with shell bowls and two spoons with plain bowls by various makers, some or most pieces possibly/probably decorated later. Each piece with hallmarks including lion passant for sterling fineness and King George III or IV duty marks. Total weight: 13.675 ozt. Late 18th/first quarter 19th century.

Condition:

Very good to excellent overall condition with wear and surface scratches, other imperfections include small dents, nicks, worn bowl tips, and slight bending.
