Ramon Kelley (b. 1939), of Irish and Mexican American descent, is a painter best known for his character portraits and his impressionistic nudes of Native American and Hispanic women.He has also produced many landscapes and works in watercolor, pastels, acrylic, oils, and charcoals. Born in Cheyenne, Wyoming, he is primarily a self-taught artist and later studied at Colorado Institute of Art in Denver, where he permanently settled in the 1960s. He is a member of the Pastel Society of America and was designated Master Pastelist and in 1986. His works are in many collections, including at the New Mexico Museum of Fine Arts and the US Military Academy Museum at West Point.
