Pierre Bittar

Pierre Bittar (b. 1934), was a French Impressionistic painter. He completed his first oil paintings at the age of 10. In 1956, he completed his studies at the Academie Leonard de Vinci and practiced plein-air painting.  The artist has won numerous prizes, including 1st prize at his graduation from the Art Academie; 'Best Landscape' at the Salon of French Artists; a gold medal in Nice; and a gold medal in the city of Le Chesnay.  He had his first exhibition in 1963 in Lausanne, Switzerland. The artist continues to study and develop the Impressionist way of painting en plein air.
