Philip Iverson (1965-2006) was a Canadian abstract and Expressionist painter known for his exaggerated and distorted figures and charged portraits and landscapes. Born in Fredericton, New Brunswick, he graduated fromMount Alison University in 1990 and taught at the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design from 1997 to 2001. His media included oil, acrylic, collage, found objects, ink, and mixed media. He exhibited his work widely throughout Canada and had three major exhibitions at prestigious galleries in Germany in 2005 and 2006. His paintings were also featured at Art Karlsruhe, an international art fair in Germany in 2006.
