Peter Tunney (b. 1961) is an American Neo-Pop artist who works in photography, painting, installation, and performance. He is known for his work incorporating language and text. Born in New York, he is known for his use of positive text as a focal element in his work, such as “DON’T PANIC” and “THE TIME IS ALWAYS NOW”. His large scale paintings are created with collaged packing materials and combine imagery and phrases from popular media sources. The artist combines clustered letterforms with bold American motifs. His works has been included in exhibitions and private collections around the world.
