Lloyd Lozes Goff

Lloyd Lozes Goff (1908 – 1982) was an American painter born in Dallas, Texas. He studied at The University of New Mexico, where he later worked as an Assistant Professor of Art and Acting Head of the Art Department from 1944-1947. He wrote and illustrated two children’s books titled Fly, Redwing, Fly, and Run, Sandpiper, Run, and his works have been exhibited in a number of fine art museums and galleries, including the Whitney Museum of Fine Art, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the New Mexico Museum of Art. His works like Solar Eclipse Mexico and Piazetta (Venice) are known for their striking sense of movement and use of muted oil colors to portray serene landscapes.
