Laszlo Neogrady

Laszlo Neogrady (1896-1962), born in Budapest, was a Hungarian artist known for his naturalistic landscape paintings, many of which depicted forest scenes in the snow. He studied painting at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts under the artist Ede Ballo. The artist used impasto extensively in his work that creates an almost three-dimensional effect in his paintings.  His work is also characterized by a dramatic use of light to create atmospheric landscapes. His paintings are in the permanent collection of Arnot Gallery.
