Kyu Nam Han (b. 1945) is a Korean-American artist whose work combines the Western and Eastern culture, values, and methodolgies. He studied at The Ohio State University, among other academic institutions.His work is characterized by the superimposition of structures and images by overlapped contour lines and employs various grids. Eastern calligraphic methodology is also a key element in his paintings. He blends Eastern isometric perspective with traditional Western linear perspective painting to create combination of both depth and flatness and then applies calligraphic principles.
