Keith Haring (1958 - 1990) was a visual artist and social activist based in New York City. Beginning with chalk drawings on empty ad spaces on NYC subway platforms, he honed a unique style of line drawings that encapsulate life's most complicated aspects within universally understandable symbols. He created the Pop Shop as an extension of this artwork. His original Pop Shops in New York and Tokyo sold Haring t-shirts and art, and the 360° murals gave his stores a clubhouse feel. Collectors lust after Keith Haring screenprints and lithographs for colorful, socially-conscious wall art.
