Katya Morgun (b. 1982)born in Nazhniy Novgorod, is a Russian artist known for her figurative paintings in oil. She demonstrated an interest in art at an early age and attended art school in her hometown. In 2002, she moved to Moscow to study at Glzunov Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, where she was awarded certificates of honor for her participation in various exhibitions and diplomas. Later in 2002, her painting for her graduation diploma was exhibited at the annual Russian Exhibition of Diploma Works, where she was awarded the top prize by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.After completing her academic studies in 2009, she officially began her career as a full-time artist.
