Ivan Jenson

Ivan Jenson (b. 1962 ) is a Neo-Pop and Neo-Expressionist painter, novelist, and a contemporary poet known for his Neo-Cubist, Neo-Fauvist colorful figures depicted as masses of color. Born in Los Angeles, he later moved to New York, where he briefly studied at the Art Students League. He is largely a self-taught artist and writer.  The artist depicts figures and faces, with a focus on eyes, as an abstract colorist.  He often paints large scale pop art portraits of van Gogh in which his face is created as an abstract color mosaic. He is also known for his Absolut paintings which are in the collection of the Spirit Musuem in Stockholm, Sweden.
