Item Description:

Two etchings/drypoints from 'Examples of Modern Etching' (text written by Philip Gilbert Hamerton), first published by Seeley, Jackson, and Halliday, London, 1876. 1) Leopold Flameng (France 1831 - 1911) - titled 'The Laughing Portrait of Rembrandt'. Measures 10-in. x 7.75-in. image size, 10.625-in. x 15-in. sheet size. 2) Paul Rajon (French 1843 - 1888) - titled 'Portrait by Van Dyck' after Velazquez. Measures 7-in. x 5.75-in. image size, 10.625-in. x 15-in. sheet size. Both in VG/EX condition. Both unframed, loose and not mounted or glued down.
